CAN I BUY A CONCERT FOR MYSELF OR MY OWN HOUSEHOLD?

Absolutely! Positive mental health and self care go hand in hand - we are totally thrilled you are treating yourself.

II

WILL YOU ENTER THE HOUSE?

Unfortunately we are unable to enter any address, or make physical contact with any recipient.

III

WHAT IF GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES CHANGE?

If there is a government enforced Coronavirus specific lockdown, or a change in local Coronavirus alert levels which directly affects your booking, then you may choose to cancel your event and receive a full refund.

IV

CAN IT BE A SURPRISE?

Although lots of people love surprises, we suggest you let your gift recipient know you have bought them a mini carol concert and share the details with them! If they are not receptive to your gift (or in the bath, at the post office, or having a nap!) then we will wait outside the address for the duration of the booking (15 minutes) and then leave. Unfortunately, under these circumstances, we would be unable to reimburse you.

V

WHAT IF THEY ARE NOT IN?

Immediately after booking we will send a booking confirmation email to the billing email address. 3 days before the date of your booking we will contact you again to confirm a 3-hour arrival time window via the billing email. On the day of the event we will text or email the billing mobile number/billing email address when we begin traveling to the gift address. This will notify you that we are on our way. At this time we will approximate a more accurate arrival time. If the gift recipient does not respond at the address on arrival then we will call the billing mobile, the recipient mobile and finally the additional contact number. If there is no response, then we will wait outside the venue for the duration of the booking (15 minutes) and then leave. Unfortunately, under these circumstances, we would be unable to reimburse you.

VI

DOES THE GIFT RECIPIENT HAVE TO STAND ON THE DOORSTEP?

Absolutely not. After we have said hello and they have confirmed that they are happy for us to sing, then they can listen from wherever they like! It is vitally important that everyone adheres to social distancing guidelines. However, if they would like to listen from an open window or wrapped in blankets from a chair in their hallway then that is totally up to them.

VII

WHAT GUIDELINES ARE YOU FOLLOWING?

We are following government performing arts guidance as follows: Government Guidelines Performing Arts

including the specific information pertaining to outdoor events: Government Guidelines Outdoor Events

VIII

DO YOU HAVE A RISK ASSESMENT?

Yes, if you would like to read our risk assessment please email contactgivemusic@gmail.com

IX

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Please ensure you/your gift recipient are following all COVID-19 Secure guidelines. We would encourage you to wear a facemask and ask that you keep the relevant distance from the 'Give Music' team bubble. It is against the law to gather in groups of more than 6 people. Please ensure that the recipient's household complies with this requirement and please do not encourage friends or neighbours to gather in advance of the concert.

CAN I DONATE A CONCERT TO A PERSON IN NEED?

X

Give Music was created to give people the chance to send the unique gift of live music to their loved ones this Christmas. However, we want to extend the potential of our project and provide concerts for individuals and families who are not able to afford the concert fee of £100. We would be thrilled if you could support our crowdfunding efforts and help us raise £400 to send 4 joyous mini carol concerts to where they are needed most. Every donation, however small, is a huge step towards providing a soul soothing, socially distanced concert for a person in desperate need of connection. www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/sendlovegivemusic

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?

What's a little rain?! We are a hardy group at 'Give Music' and plan to perform for you whatever the weather. However, in the case of extreme weather conditions, which make it unsafe for the team to travel and perform, we will contact you with as much notice as possible in order to reschedule your booking.

WHAT ABOUT THE RULE OF 6?

XII

The Give Music Chorus will be a bubble of 3-4 singers plus a driver. We will never exceed 5 members. We will ensure safe practice of our bubble at all times, using masks, sanitiser, social distancing and other recommended PPE as appropriate. We will not make contact with the recipient. One member, wearing gloves, will knock on the door, leave the festive card on the doorstep and stand back to maintain the 2 metre rule. Whilst singing, we will be appropriately distanced from the recipient and each other. We would love your neighbours to enjoy the music too, however we trust that people will be respectful of government guidance and, if at any point the safety of the chorus or recipient becomes compromised, we will have to leave.

XIII

IS THE PERFORMANCE ADDRESS ELIGIBLE?

We can only commit to performing outside and in the open air. For the safety of our customers and our team we cannot enter houses or perform in corridors for gift recipients in flats, maisonettes or nursing homes etc. By buying an event you confirm the eligibility of the event address. If we arrive at an address and it is not compliant with the UK Government’s coronavirus legislation then we will not be able to perform and we will not be able to reimburse you.
